Also known as "Micah", "Mikay" was born and raised in Laguna, Philippines. She is the eldest among the three siblings, the tres marias(three sisters). She decided to leave her family by working overseas to be a bread-winner and for her family to have a better life and future first in Dubai, UAE then she resigned and went back home (Philippines) and started her application for MPNP as close relative support to have a permanent residency status in Canada. She was landed as immigrant (permanent resident) here in Canada on August 09, 2016 in Vancouver Airport but destination was Manitoba. She worked 2 jobs(Sobeys bakery clerk in AM, KFC Crew in PM) while she was in Portage La Prairie for 9 months then decided to move in Calgary, Alberta to be more independent and have more opportunities.

After few days since she moved, she got a job as Document Control Assistant in Urban Realty (Realtors Office). After almost a year in the company she resigned and decided to take Medical Office Assistant as related to her experiences in Philippines as Information Technology graduate. She was top/honor student and student of the month (April 2018). After she graduates, starting as MOA is minimum and casual jobs only. When she got hired as MOA but the clinic owner has pharmacy and medicine laboratory too, she was hired as pharmacy assistant too even without experiences. She learned how to make medicines (capsules, syrups, ointments cream, etc) but she was getting paid minimum so she also worked as part-time pizza maker in Panago Pizza at night shift from 6pm-1am. Because of overwork she got blood infection that misdiagnosed as leukemia but that didn't stopped her for being so ambitious that she wants to push herself more, and wants to achieve more things in life.

Through the help of her friends by convincing her that she has natural talent in massaging people, complimenting her that she has healing hands, she decided to pursue ADVANCED MASSAGE THERAPY(3000 hours) 2-year DIPLOMA PROGRAM as advancement career on SEPTEMBER 2018 at MAKAMI COLLEGE CALGARY CAMPUS. She was awarded by her college the ABOVE AND BEYOND CERTIFICATE 2019 for exceptional work ethics during their Community Outreach at 10 days CALGARY STAMPEDE. She discovered more her natural talent as Massage Therapist, gained lots of experiences and have met different people/strangers, most of them became so special and close friends. She has no idea that this career will really change her life.

After she graduated on April 2020 during the pandemic year when Covid-19 was so active and dangerous, she still took a risk - opened and started her own massage business as Natural Touch, changed it to Brave Hands touch and finally got the perfect idea and final name changed to TheraPinay (Therapy+Pinay(Filipina))Massage. It was just a minimal opening and not really pushing it yet just for her to have extra income to survive paying her bills and financial obligations. She got a sub-contractor job as RMT in Massage Addict Sunridge as her part-time too from July-October 2020. November 01, 2020 when she moved in Medicine Hat and got a full-time job as RMT in Spoiled Rotten started on Nov. 03 until January 29, 2022. She'll be forever grateful to June Gold for giving her an opportunity to work with her and have met awesome and loving clients! She gained lots of experiences, confidence, learned self-growth, become more independent and motivate herself even more. She just left because the right time has come for her to grow more independently, for her own mental, emotional and physical health and for decisions she already made.

On 2nd week of February 2022, She reopened her massage business again inside TheraCare Physiotherapy at 13th Ave Coop Mall as her physical location so she can also pursue her Mobile Massage with her existing business license in Calgary that she started on 2020 and in Red Deer Summer and Fall 2022. Starting over again is not easy, it takes a lot of efforts, hard-work and perseverance but it will be all worth it and someday it's all gonna make sense.

She decided to permanently settling down here in Medicine Hat because she gained lots of regular and loyal clients that made her business started to boom and well-known in the city through her clients' words of mouth and spreading like a wild fire even she just started a month and so on. July 4th she moved at (Yoga You4ia upstairs) 104-1235 Southview Drive SE and started with just 1 room and since then she got so busy with everyday fully-booked appointments/schedules.

On December 2022 she was one of the Gold Sponsors at Fil-Can Association of Medicine Hat Community Christmas Party for a 1-Year (12 Months once a month) Free Massages worth $1,070 as her gratefulness for the community support on her business. She's looking forward to support more community events in the future especially with her fellow Filipinos.

On February 2023 her 1st year anniversary she decided to rent another room as office/lobby space because she wants her clients to feel more comfortable and relax especially while waiting for family member or friend's massage session.

On May, she also volunteered at Rise Up Hot Air Balloon Festival 2023 It was her first time and being assigned in traffic control duties! That was wild crazy and yet fun and memorable experience!

On July 1st Canada Day, It was also her first time participated in Something for Everyone Market as vendor for Chair Massages that went well and met talented, lovely and amazing vendors too!

She just started more than a year and already involving her business to our community events and activities and how she's always amaze with Medicine Hat people that she always believes there are more people in this community that are nice, kind, loving, helpful, approachable and supporting her business by spreading positive words and recommendations about her business.

TheraPinay means how a Pinay (Filipina) gives a tender loving care touch for her clients. Her on fire passion and awesome strength hiding in her "tiny but mighty" body that ignites everytime she helps her clients - with their pain, stress, when they felt better and renewed after every massage. Her healing miracle hands can see what our eyes can't. She loves helping people through her natural massage talent. While massaging her clients she knows exactly where the hidden spots/knots that need to work on! By the way, don't judge her by her physical body by being tiny and skinny. Looks can be deceiving. She is passionate, hard-working and loving RMT who really cares for her clients. She really loves what she do. Massaging is her way of helping people by relieving their pain, fixing their muscles tensions and hitting pressure/trigger points, lower their stress level/depression/anxieties, someone who cares/listens when they need to vent out their emotions and problems. Someone who can be a friend when they need one. Most of her clients compliment her as "tiny but mighty", "small but terrible", with healing hands, compassionate, remarkable, best massage they ever had, and more!
